This is the hard-to-find MGM/UA Home Video release of the restored versions of Till The Clouds Roll By (1946), Words And Music (1948), and Deep In My Heart (1954). Judy makes a guest appearance in the first two films and does not appear at all in Deep In My Heart (she had left the studio 3 years prior).

As with the original artwork for these films, this laser disc boxed set features Judy prominently and larger than the rest of the stars of the films she's in, even though she only makes a few guest appearances. A sign that even as late as 1996, Judy's popularity was still strong enough to make her the main selling point of the product. Even the cover to the insert (shown at right) is the star of Words And Music, Mickey Rooney, with Judy. By the way, this was 10th and final screen appearance of Mickey and Judy.

The reason this set is listed here in The Judy Garland Online Discography is due to the premiere release of the studio pre-recordings presented on the alternate audio tracks. Many are presented in stereo for the first time. This is the first time Judy's "Who?" is presented in stereo (it would later be released on the "Sound Track Factory" CD release).

Oddly enough, Judy's two songs in Words, "Johnny One Note" and "I Wish I Were In Love Again" (with Mickey Rooney), are not included in the alternate audio tracks. Perhaps the pre-recordings no longer exist.

There has been no official re-release of the Till The Clouds Roll By and Words And Music soundtracks utilizing the pre-recordings. Thus, this laser disc set is the only source for many of these recordings. Deep In My Heart was released in 2004 by Rhino Records, but was only available for download from from the Internet via the iTunes program. It was not released on CD.
