Judy Room Spotlight on The Wizard of Oz Section

The
The Wizard Of Oz

ABOUT THE DISC & RECORDINGS:

This has got to be the absolute worst presentation of the OZ soundtrack ever offered. Not only is it an abridged version of the original MGM Records LP (which itself was a very abridged version of the film), but it also presents the first duo version of "We're Off To See The Wizard" (by Judy and Ray) both before and after the "Dorothy Meets The Scarecrow" track. The additional cuts to the "songs and selection" theme of dialog and songs from the film are so extensive that it renders this CD useless.

The packaging is nicely done, and promotes more MGM soundtracks in the series (we're afraid to check those!). It's too bad the actual contents of the CD can't measure up even a tiny bit to the packaging.
