This Sony Music Special Products release from
1990 was the first time that a label attempted to present the
soundtrack
as heard in the film. Sony simply did what most fans had done
for a long time: record the soundtrack from the actual soundtrack
of the film, with footsteps and other extraneous noises apparent.
This particular CD has decent sound quality. And this is the
ONLY CD that you'll hear Judy's rendition of "Happy Harvest" as
sung in the film - the end being Judy solo.
On the Rhino CD, the vocal at the end is
Judy with the chorus. I prefer this version, with Judy's strong
vocal alone at the end of the song. It makes one wonder: Where
is the pre-recording of the version as heard in the film?
