THE DISC & RECORDINGS:
This CD was made
by a division of Rhino called "Rhino Custom Products" for release
by "Compass Productions" - in turn as a part of their series
of compilation CDs named ""mix:your style:original artists
& recordings". This is the only soundtrack compilation CD in
the series. The others range in theme from "crooners" to "70's
Soft Rock".
The version of "Steppin' Out With My Baby" included
here is the partial stereo version, first released by Rhino
on their 1999 CD "Irving
Berlin In Hollywood". Here, this partial first
half is married to the mono second half, as it was first done
on the 2006 re-release of "That's Entertainment!".
The track listing on this CD gives the performers and times
for "But Not For Me" (Judy's version) and "Embraceable
You" (Connie Francis) as being from An
American In Paris (1951), when
in fact they are not. We have corrected this mistake in the
track listing below.
