Enter to win!

Guess the winning bid of the Ruby Slippers and win a free personally signed copy of my upcoming book Judy Garland: The Voice of MGM.

All you have to do is complete the form below and guess the winning bid.  The person who guesses the amount, or whoever comes closest, will win a personally signed copy of Judy Garland: The Voice of MGM when it’s published in June 2025.

Heritage Auctions will auction the famous Michael Shaw pair of Ruby Slippers on December 7, 2024.  Online bidding begins on November 1, 2024.

This is the pair famously stolen from The Judy Garland Museum in 2005 and not recovered until the FBI acted on a tip and recovered them in 2018.  Now they’re up for auction and will undoubtedly sell for a record-setting amount. Join in the fun by making your best guess.  You could be a winner, too!

There can be only one guess per person. I will contact the winner privately and announce them here only with their permission. Good luck!

JUDY GARLAND
THE CONCERT YEARS

Judy Garland in concert was an event like no other.  Fans and show business veterans spoke of them with awe.  Even now, as the 100th anniversary of her birth nears, her concerts are still legendary.  “Legendary” is a word that’s used a lot these days, but in her own time, the word was used to describe her concerts and Judy herself.  She truly was a living legend.

Judy Garland – The Concert Years features comprehensive details about Judy’s amazing concert years from 1951 – 1969.  Included in the pages are photos, audio files, videos, newspaper articles & reviews, plus information about other projects Judy worked on (films, her TV series, etc.).

Details of the photos and media in the collage above:

  • March 29, 1935:  The two surviving Decca test records along with the Decca Records test sheet for “Bill.”
