ABOUT THE DISC & RECORDINGS:

This bootleg album is typical of the type of bootlegs released in the 1960's and 1970's. The back of this album sleeve is completely blank, also typical of it's kind. However, the label on the record actually does have a track listing.

The sound quality on these bootlegs was usually no better than a 4th or 5th generation cassette traded among collectors. Still, some of these were the only known sources for collectors of the day to hear these performances.

The contents of this album are taken from the live radion broadcast of the "Midnight Concert" at the Tuschinski Theater, Amsterdam, The Netherlands as well as Judy's 1962 Manhattan Center sessions.

The "complete" concert would be released in 1996 on a special two-CD set, along with some of the 1962 Manhattan Center recordings.

The remainder of the Holland Concert would be released on two more volumes from Obligato, #'s 610 and 6100 (see below).

All images on this page from the collections of Scott Brogan & Eric Hemphill.
Volume 3 from the collection of Richard Allen.
