To: Arthur Freed Subject: Judy Garland From: Dave Friedman Date: 3/23/44 Called Miss Garland this morning to tell her we were planning to shoot inside this afternoon rather than outside tonight, due to bad weather reports. Miss Garland advised that she was doctoring for a cold, but would be all right to work tonight. She later called back to say that she had spoken with her doctor, who had advised her against working tonight, and therefore she would work this afternoon. Inasmuch as Mr. Davenport was not available for this afternoon due to illness, this change could not be made. As a result company planned to work outside tonight, shooting scenes with the Halloween children only and excluding Miss Garland's scenes. Finally, due to rain, company was not able to shoot at all. |
