A well produced
CD of Judy's early hits. I feel the sound quality on this CD
is actually better that the versions on the "official" Decca/MCA
1994 CD boxed
set "Judy Garland - The Complete Decca Masters
(plus)."
Note: The version of "Zing! Went The Strings Of My Heart" included
here is actually Judy's radio version from 1935. This is the performance
Judy's
father heard from a radio placed in his hospital room. He passed away that
night. Judy would later refer to this event as the most terrible thing that
ever happened to her.
Although this is out of print, it can be found on eBay or other auction
sites. Again, the sound quality is excellent and worth the extra effort
to find it.
