ABOUT
THE DISC & RECORDINGS:
This
is a "Silver Platter Service" promo album. Capitol
released these "Silver Platter Service" albums
to promote upcoming releases.
This version, CAPITOL
August 1965, Sides 163 and 164, has "Hello Dolly" from
Judy/Liza/Palladium album, along with a telephone interview
with Judy where she plugs the new album. Jack Wagner,
the interviewer, tells Judy that he was one of the dancers
in the "Embraceable You" number from "Girl
Crazy." He goes on to tell Judy that he didn't last
long at MGM as a dancer because he wore a size 12 shoe, and
he felt clumsy, and Judy says, "well, I think
that's both of mine put together!" Judy also talks about sitting on
the piano for part of the song and the chorus boys pushing the piano back and
forth, and Judy says she was afraid that she would fall off and/or the piano
would tip over!
