ABOUT
THE DISC & RECORDINGS:
This special "soft vinyl" ("Dramatic
Vinyl"!!),
one-sided record was mailed out to subscribers of the Longines
Symphonette Society promoting their 5-record boxed set "The
Immortal Judy Garland".
The text on the record reads: "A Lasting Tribute to Judy Garland
- a keepsake souvenir of one of the world's most beloved entertainers"
- It goes on to read: "This record is designed as a tribute to
a great talent . . . . a cherished, permanent addition to your
record collection. At the same time it is a small sample of the
many marvellous [sic], full length Judy Garland performances
in the Longines Symphonette's Treasure, THE IMMORTAL VOICE OF
JUDY
GARLAND.
Each record in the five-record set is of full-weight, purest
vinyl, magnificently preserved in brilliant "Living Sound Fidelity"
All of the songs are from Judy's Capitol albums.
All images on this page from the collection of Scott
Brogan.
Below is the card mailer version, with the floppy vinyl attached to the card stock paper.
Listeners had only to remove it from the card to play it.

TRACK
LISTING (for both versions shown above)
The tracks are listed on the outside of the mailer as:
Over The Rainbow
Rockabye My Baby (title incorrect - should be "Rock-A-Bye Your Baby")
For Me and My Gal
When You're Smiling
Stormy Weather
Boy Next Door
It is assumed that "For Me And My Gal" and "Boy Next Door"
are actually part
of the "Judy's Olio" medley, along with "You Made Me Love You".
