Frémeaux & Associés is
proud to announce the worldwide release of
the 2-CD anthology Judy Garland: Classiques & Inédits
1929-1956 [Judy Garland: Classic and
Previously Unreleased Recordings 1929-1956]
now scheduled for May 2008. Authored by Lawrence
Schulman , who contributes the liner notes
in French and English, and under the artistic
direction of Benjamin Goldenstein , the box
set includes 40 studio and radio recordings,
25 of which have never before been issued,
as well as a brochure of over 40 pages that
includes numerous rare photos and a detailed
discography. Culled from archives from around
the world, transferred in New York by renowned
engineer Jon M. Samuels and remastered in Paris
by Art & Son Studio, the set will be available
at French retailers and the Frémeaux & Associés
website (http://fremeaux.com/).
As soon as a track listing and cover
art are released, we'll post them here! This looks
to be a really exciting release, especially the
25 new-to-CD performances! Lawrence Schulman always
does a wonderful job with his writings, so between
the new tracks and the booklet, this will definitely
be a "must have"!!
