January
30, 2007:
New images!!! Now that the bulk of the Discography is done
(don't worry - we're still adding more LPs and CDs!), we
will be revisiting many of the pages and adding large images
of as many album covers as possible. Album cover art is
a "lost art". As much as we love having restorations
on CD, we miss having the large LP covers with all that
great artwork. So - we will be adding (in no particular
order), large versions of album covers - and some CDs -
as we get them done. Some will also be restorations of
covers brought back to their original brilliance! Each
of these will be accessible via a pop-up window under the
main album image.
First up - the wonderful restoration of the album cover
to the 1968 Capitol compilation "The
Magic Of Judy Garland".
And restoration of the cover to the 1959 Capitol album "Judy
Garland At The Grove".
Thanks to "Alex in Belgium" for his expert restoration
abilities!
Added the 1970's bootleg LP

Welcome to The Judy Garland Online Discography!
Today is the inaugural day for this immense endeavor.
As you will see, our discography is far from complete.
It will be “in progress” for
quite some time as we complete the main sections, and add more details and information
to all of the pages. Please read the following to see where we’re
at as of this date.
Decca Records: We have completed the
Decca Records section - For now.
Soundtracks: All of the major compilation
records and CDs for the Soundtracks section are completed. We will
add various new
compilation pages in the future
as we progress deeper into documenting Judy’s recordings. Of
the pages for the individual films, only the following are complete
or semi-complete: Pigskin
Parade, Meet Me In St. Louis, Till The Clouds Roll By, The
Pirate, and Summer Stock. We will complete a new film
page(s) every few days or so, then move on to the Capitol Records
section.
Capitol Records: Once the Soundtracks
are done, we will move on to the Capitol Records section and begin
documenting
all
of Judy’s Capitol Records.
Miscellaneous: This is the section
where we will document the major records & CD
releases featuring Judy’s TV performances (excepting the Capitol
releases), as well as her radio performances. Here we will also include
various other
releases that might not fall into any particular category.
We hope that you will enjoy The Judy Garland Online Discography.
It is a labor of love for us. We have always strived to collect and
properly catalog Judy’s recordings, and the Internet is the
perfect venue to accomplish this.
Be sure to check back for updates. And be sure to let us know what
you think, offer suggestions, and especially provide information
on records
or CDs we
may have missed that you believe should be included. This discography
is for all
of Judy’s fans to enjoy. We certainly are having fun putting
it together, and we hope that you will have fun perusing through
these pages.
Sincerely,
The Judy Garland Discography Team
