December 14, 2010:

More kudos to Eric Hemphill for tracking down yet another rare item. The 1950 45rpm "extended play" 2-disc version of the MGM Records soundtrack to Till The Clouds Roll By to the Soundtracks Section.

Eric also located this very rare advertising card for the 1955 U.K. version of the Decca Records "Greatest Performances" LP.

Finally, we added the 1954 3-disc 45rpm "Extended Play" edition of the A Star is Born soundtrack to the Soundtracks Section.

November 26, 2010:

Kudos to Eric Hemphill for tracking down the very rare paper insert to the Decca 78 album "Christmas Candle." Inserts for the more well known and popular albums (like "Meet Me In St. Louis") are rare, but for little known or remember albums they're even more rare. We now have almost every insert to every album.

October 23, 2010:

Added the following to the Soundtracks Section:

1964 "All Star Salute - The Best of Jerome Kern" which is the last of the series to include any of Judy's soundtrack performances. For some reason, the Kern LP was the toughest to find. I don't know if it's considered "rare" or not but judging from the difficulty in finding a copy, I would say "yes." .

An alternate cover of the 1950 10" version of Till The Clouds Roll By.

The 1957 U.K. LP "Great Moments of the Movies" - one of the few times that Summer Stock is listed by its U.K. title If You Feel Like Singing.

The 2006 U.K. 2-CD release "That's Entertainment!" (not part of the "That's Entertainment!" series).

The 2002 Starbucks/Rhino/TCM CD "The Big Picture".
