August 25, 2008:

Added the rare 45rpm edition of Judy's song "The Faraway Part Of Town" from the film Pepe that was given out to members of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Science by the Academy to help them make an informed decision when voting of the "Best Song" Oscar of that year (it lost to but lost to "Never On Sunday" from the film of the same name). From the collection of Eric Hemphill.

August 20, 2008:

August 16, 2008:

Added the rare 1950 45rpm Decca set "Christmastime" - their 45rpm version of the 1945 78rpm release - to the Decca Records Section. Another treasure from Bruce.

Added the single disc 45rpm "Judy Garland" from MGM Records in 1954 (or 1955) to the Soundtrack Section. This page is a combination of a scan from Bruce, and detailed record information from the collection of Eric Hemphill.

Also added the 1950 45rpm "extended play" 4 disc boxed set of "Till The Clouds Roll By"
and the rare 1987 Japanese CD release of the original 1974 soundtrack to "That's Entertainment!"
as well as the rare 1987 Japanese CD release of the M-G-M Records versions of "Easter Parade & Till The Clouds Roll By",
all three to the Soundrack Section.

Added a LINKS PAGE, just for fun and to help people find more information about the songbooks and recordings of other artists from Judy's time and/or genres.

NOTE: The recent fire at Universal Studios did NOT destroy the original masters of Judy's Decca (and probably other) recordings. Click here for the latest report. WHEW!!!!

A bit THANK YOU to Bernie for researching the old Schwann catalogs and providing us with correct dates for several on the Decca releases, including the 1951 Wizard Of Oz 10" release, as well as the LPs "Best Of Judy Garland" and "Collector's Items". [Schwann was an industry tool that listed all record releases with titles, dates and sometimes track listings.]

Also added the upcoming "Judy Takes Broadway" CD from Savoy Jazz to the Miscellaneous section.
