THE DISC & RECORDINGS:
This is the fourth entry from Savoy Jazz,
consisting of just what the titles says, Judy's greatest
hits as she performed them live on her series in 1963 & 1964.
The sound quality on this CD is very uneven, changing from
track to track. Some would actually sound better if recorded
digitally from the DVDs of the series - although most (if not all) of these are. There is a nice 12
page photo-laden booklet with liner notes written by
John Fricke. As much as we love abundant liner notes, this
CD makes us think that perhaps Savoy Jazz should spend the
money on remastering rather than printing.
