ABOUT THE DISC & RECORDINGS:

This 1970's French album features Judy's performances on The Bing Crosby Show/The General Electric Program in 1952.

Per Scott Schechter's wonderful book "Judy Garland: The Day-By-Day Chronicle Of A Legend":
Late April 1952 to early May 1952: (Radio) Judy recorded three more Bing Crosby radio shows, which aired on May 21, 1952; May 28, 1952; and June 4, 1952. Much of the material on these three shows had been songs sung earlier, on Crosby shows from March 1951. On the first of these three new shows, Judy sang "The Boy Next Door"; "When You're Smiling"; and, with Crosby, "Am I In Love?" and "When You Wore A Tulip." (The last song can be heard on the...1993 CD on the Parrot label, #PARCD 003, Judy Garland and Bing Crosby: When You're Smiling.) On the second show, Judy sang "Rock-a-Bye Your Baby"; "Carolina In The Morning"; and, with Crosby, "Noodlin' Rag"; "Isle Of Capri"; "April In Paris"; and "For Me And My Gal." (The last song from this broadcast is on the Parrot CD mentioned above.) On the third show, Judy sang "You made me Love You"; "Over The Rainbow"; and, with Crosby, "Hello, My Baby"; "In My Merry Oldsmobile"; "Walking My Baby Back Home"' "In My Merry Oldsmobile" (Reprise); "You're Just In Love"; and "Sound Off," done as a commercial for Chesterfield cigarettes. ("Over The Rainbow" and Merry Oldsmobile" from this show can be hard on the Parrot Records CD.)

Also included on this LP are performances from Judy's October 30, 1952 guest hosting of the same show. The whole program is available on the 1974 LP "Judy Garland On Radio".
